Terms of Service — CheeseSMP

These terms cover the CheeseSMP Minecraft server and the website at cheesesmp.top. By connecting to the server or using the website you agree to them. If you do not, do not connect.

1. Who runs this

CheeseSMP is an independently operated Minecraft server run by the CheeseSMP staff team. It is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft. You need your own legitimate copy of Minecraft to play, and Mojang’s own terms apply to that.

2. Your account

You are responsible for what happens on your account, including anything done by someone you shared it with.
Set a real password with /register and do not reuse one from another site.
Do not use another player’s account, and do not pretend to be staff.
Alt accounts are allowed for normal play but not for evading a punishment or abusing anything limited per player.

3. How to behave

Fighting, raiding and taking hearts is the game. The following is not:

Cheat clients, macros, auto-clickers, x-ray, or any modification that gives you an unfair advantage.
Exploiting bugs or duplication glitches. Report them instead — we would rather fix it.
Lag machines, crash exploits, or anything designed to damage the server or another player’s connection.
Harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content involving minors, or doxxing. These get a permanent ban with no appeal.
Advertising other servers, scamming other players out of real money, or trading in-game items for real money outside our store.
Attempting to gain unauthorised access to the server, the website or any player account.

4. Moderation

Staff may warn, mute, kick, ban or roll back a player, and may remove items obtained through cheating or a bug. We aim to be proportionate and to explain ourselves, but running the server is ultimately at our discretion. If you think a punishment was wrong, appeal in our Discord — appeals are read by a human and they do get overturned.

5. Purchases

Store purchases are processed by Tebex. Their terms apply to the transaction itself.
Anything you buy is a licence to use a cosmetic or convenience feature on our server. It is not property, it cannot be transferred or sold to another player, and it has no value outside the server.
Purchases are generally non-refundable. If a package fails to deliver, or was described wrongly, email us and we will fix it or refund it.
Charging back a payment instead of contacting us results in a permanent ban.
Buying something does not exempt you from these rules. A banned player does not get a refund on ranks they can no longer use.

6. Things you build and say

You keep whatever rights you have in what you build and write. By putting it on our server you allow us to store, display and back it up as part of running the server, and to show screenshots of it in our Discord or promotional material. We can remove anything that breaks these rules.

7. Availability, resets and no warranty

The server is provided as it is. We do not guarantee it will be online, that your builds and items will survive, or that it will run forever. Worlds may be reset between seasons, and data can be lost to hardware failure, corruption or a bad update. Do not treat anything on this server as permanent. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost progress, lost items, lost purchases or any indirect loss arising from using CheeseSMP.

8. Ending things

You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We can suspend or terminate access for a breach of these terms, or where we need to in order to protect the server and its players.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change and significant updates get announced in our Discord. Continuing to play after a change means you accept it.
